Colorado Peak hike

I (Chad) was poking around the Caja del Rio on my motorcycle and thought that Colorado Peak looked like a good hiking destination, so the next day we drove out there and checked it out.

It's not a difficult hike, but there's no trail. You just aim for the top and say hi to the cows along the way. Colorado Peak spat out lots of red rock back in its volcanic days, hence the name. It has a depression in the top, so it even looks rather like an old volcano! Excellent views in all directions.

It being St. Patrick's Day, an appropriate beverage was had at the end of the day.
