Hike to Nambe Lake

We decided to hike up in the high country to beat the heat - got an early start and drove up to the Ski Santa Fe parking lot and hiked Winsor trail up to the Nambe Lake junction, then followed the creek up to the lake.

The trailhead is at about 10,000 ft, and the lake is at about 11,500, and there’s a bit of up-and-down in the middle; 8.5 miles round trip, so we got a good workout in for the day!
