An overdue blog post

We've been very lax with the blog lately. Mostly that's because we've been quite busy; also a bit lazy in this area, to give more time to other pursuits and obligations. A rough/incomplete list follows; I'll try (but won't promise) to write some material on at least some of the things we were up to in the last few months!

A non-comprehensive list of our doings since the end of March

• Fun trip to Utah, exploring canyons and geological features in the backcountry -- we saw bighorn sheep!
• Replaced a fridge that died
• Repaired the failing range hood fan, featuring decades' worth of dead mice
• Moved Mom from assisted living into memory care
• Motorcycle camping in the local area
• Lots of happy hours in the saloon with the fun neighbors
• Anna learned how to make and polish cabuchons
• Moira Smiley concert (and for Anna, vocal master class) in Albuquerque
• Chad built a bog filter for our fish pond
• Drove the van out to Downieville to work on the house, and help Kean relocate
• Chad and Will motorcycled a chunk of the NorCal Backcountry Discovery Route
• We drove back by way of Death Valley (in June! hot hot hot)
• Repaired swamp cooler's failed motor and control switch
• Brewed beer
• Hiked on Hamilton Mesa
• Hiked to Santa Fe Baldy
• Hiked to Spirit Lake
• Hiked to the Paliza Goblins
• Went to Desert Chorale concerts
• Went to tbe opera
• Attended the annual 4th of July pancake breakfast on the Santa Fe plaza
• Many Schola Cantorum concerts
• Anna and Chad had birthdays

I am certain we did lots of other things too, that I am forgetting. But this will be a good placeholder for upcoming highlights, which probably (certainly) won't included everything on that list, and probably (maybe) will include things not on that list. Stay tuned!
